Coffeevac coffee storage containers are a great way to keep fresh coffee until time for brewing.
The 4 enemies of fresh coffee are air, light, moisture and extreme temperature (hot or cold). Air, by far, is the main culprit, but it is best to protect against all four.
Coffeevac containers assist with minimizing air spoilage. The top slides over a 1 1/2" long side for a tight seal. To close the container, depress a button on the lid while pushing down in order to expel excess air.
The same goes for opening the canister...depress the button and lift the lid so air can fill the void.
Air is limited to the small amount trapped in the canister without the possibility of drawing more in to spoil the coffee. It's a great way to store coffee!

Do you have a Coffeevac that is hard to seal now?
Once the unit has been washed a few times, the seal becomes dry and scratchy. Put a little vegetable oil on a cloth and apply to the sealing surface. The lid will slide on smoothly and the seal will be as good as new.
